FAQ

For a list of some of the most commonly asked questions around convention attendance, please visit the Alberta Teachers Association FAQ page HERE

Question: Where can I access my ATA card?

Answer: ATA Membership cards can be found electronically by logging into the Alberta Teachers Association website with your association login and username.  Follow the directions listed on the page to access your digital card or print a copy.  You will need one of the two methods to enter the convention area.

Question: If I cannot find or access my ATA card, can I just bring a piece of school ID or a division pay stub as proof of employment?

Answer: Sorry, no.  Since the convention is a closed event and only open to ATA members, you need to provide your membership card for entry.

Question: Are teacher assistants/educational assistants/spouses of teachers/children of teachers eligible to attend teachers’ conventions?

Answer: No. Conventions are closed events designed for ATA members who hold the highest level of membership available to them and for a few invited guests. Central office and school administrators do not have the authority to direct teacher assistants or educational assistants to attend teachers’ conventions. (taken from the ATA website).

Question: Is parking free at the event?

Answer: Parking is free in designated areas.  Please check the venue parking map for these locations.  Parking outside these areas may result in a parking fine.
